About me

Raised as a structuralist, I spent my PhD developing logics and proving theorems. After that, working as a research software engineer at Google Brain and DeepMind for over six years, I have been partly indoctrinated with the bitter lesson: in the long run, scale and compute often outperform approaches trying to build in inductive biases. Now, I want to go back to doing research, and I am currently very much interested in separating fact knowledge from reasoning capabilities in large language models. I believe this can help with factuality and explainability, which are two of the biggest issues with such models.
